Introducing our Headline Charity Partners18.06.2019
At Regatta London one of our key focuses is to help raise hundreds of thousands of pounds for amazing charities that care for the environment, our communities and sport as much as we do. That's why we've partnered with three incredible charities so that you can achieve something great whilst making a real difference to people's lives.
Thames21 empowers communities to bring London’s rivers back to life – to reconnect with nature, take action on climate change, fight plastic, pollution and protect river wildlife. Whether it’s the Thames or one of its many tributaries, we inspire communities to get down to their local riverbank. Rivers, canals and stretches of open water are the perfect antidote to urban living – which is one of the reasons thousands of volunteers help us rewild and protect them every year. The money raised will help us rebuild the relationship between communities and their rivers; restoring river health and boosting personal wellbeing and community pride in the process. London Youth Rowing
London Youth Rowing (LYR) open access to indoor and on-water rowing for young people across the Capital, regardless of background, ethnicity, ability or otherwise. We work to get young people active, improving their physical, social and mental wellbeing whilst developing crucial life skills, necessary for success in the classroom and the workplace. The money raised will support our outreach programmes, so that we can continue to change the lives of thousands of young people. Find out more here.
Mates in Mind
In the UK, 3 out of 5 employees experience mental health issues because of work. Mates in Mind believes this needs to change. Mates in Mind is a leading UK charity driving industry change and enabling employers to improve their workforces’ mental health. We do this by supporting any employer and especially SMEs, providing them with the skills, clarity and confidence to raise awareness, improve understanding and address the stigma that surrounds mental health at work. Importantly, we enable employers to start the conversation on mental health with their workers, and ensure individuals who need support know where they can get it. Find out more here.
