An Update on Regatta London26.03.2020
Regatta London has started something transformational. We’re very proud of how far we got in 2019 and gutted that it ended up in cancellation. We are sure that you will have put a lot of time and effort into your preparations for the event, for which we’re very grateful, and we are excited by the feedback we’ve had on the concept and ambition of Regatta London. It is fantastic to think that we have such strong support.
Having reflected on the 2019 cancellation we have decided that the best way forward is to not run an event in 2020. Instead we will spend the additional time building on the 2019 plans with a fully robust and resilient plan and aim for an event in the future. We remain focused on an iconic celebration for racers and challengers that will inspire people who’d never of thought to take up an oar or paddle. Together we can show them what’s great about our sports and the range of ways to get involved locally and on the capital’s river, our biggest stage.
We’ll contact you in the future when our planning is taking shape, as it would be really valuable to have your input into these plans. But until then, paddle safe and I hope the high waters subside soon.
